Feel The Place
Some of you might know, there were another series of earthquakes in Christchurch today. It’s not much fun. I am pretty lost for words really, which doesn’t happen that often for me. I had been working on this track for the last couple of weeks - but with the intention of releasing it sometime early in the new year. But the events of today made me think that now was as good a time as any.
It’s called “Feel The Place”, and unlike the stuff on “Hates It”, it’s more about the way I felt during the shakes - in September, December, February, June and now today. I’ve tried to capture the paranoia, the claustrophobia and panic that sets in when a quake hits; it’s got jittery synths, buzzy bass and a drum sample that I stole from the Stone Roses. I’ve tried to capture how it felt to me, I hope that some of it comes through. Free to download, free to share - but if you want to drop me some coin for it, pay as you like.
